I loved making these origami paper cranes when I was a child. I was taught by Japanese friend of the family when we were stationed in Japan. It's a small, calming, creative action, taking a piece of paper and transforming it into something else.
BOGALUSA, La. (AP) - A Marine from Bogalusa was among the fourteen killed earlier this week in a powerful roadside bomb explosion in Iraq.
The city's daily newspaper reported Thursday that Corporal David Stewart's parents received word of their son's death on Wednesday. The blast also reportedly injured a Marine from Belle Chasse.
Stewart would have turned 25 on August 11th. His parents, Sandra and Joey Stewart, told The Daily News of Bogalusa that they had few details about his death.
